The Creation Story

Skill: Makers of excellent eye appliances for people over 40.
Ethos: To look at what is possible from case to frame in practice and materials. A large focus on using upcycled waste material to create a sunglass that is functional, comfortable to wear, priced fairly and of course, classically chic.
Common Ground: With a long term relationship through work and friendships both brands connected many moons ago over changing cultural stereotypes on ageing. Caddis are about turning the tide on cultural perceptions by recruiting like minded people. They ask people to aspire to be more of who they are today.
The Idea: Inspired by Sheree’s next chapter in age and life which has taken her through a two year creative process restoring the ocean front Seaside Inn, Il Delfino. Add in a strong obsession for eyewear and commitment to ethical practices and sustainable innovations and you have "Il Mare”.
Style Description
The style is elegantly classic with throwback references to Lynda Carter’s character Diana Prince in the 70s TV show, Wonder Woman. Aptly named for all the wonder women out there. With a polished black frame and dark grey polarised lens it is very much a classic option that can be worn with everything, everywhere. The oversized frame lends itself to a more fashion style and has medium fit. A square shape ideal for a round, oval and heart faces.
Sheree’s Tip: There is nothing you need to do, add or alter. These can turn a bad day into a great one. When you want to stand out or be left alone “Il Mare” are perfect. Note - Dreamy for true sunshine. The polarised lens are perfectly placed for excellent vision but carry an ideal level of protection for our Australian sun.
